Chelsie & Baby Clara | Minnesota Maternity Photographer

Today little Clara was born, which served as a gentle reminder to post some images I was so fortunate to capture of her beautiful mother while she was still growing.  I don’t know exactly where to being how I value my friendship with Chelsie without taking up more room with writing that photos.  When I was getting into photography last year I had a mentoring session with a photographer and at the end he recommended I look Chelsie up and give her a call to talk photography.  Needless to say the big baby that I am I never picked up the phone and contacted her.  I basically was just delaying fate.  Last winter, we finally met at a local wedding professional get-together.  The meeting didn’t come easy…I literally waited all night for people to stop chatting her up and when we were finally getting kicked out I went and introduced myself.  She was so kind and super sweet and made me feel so happy when she mentioned she was familiar with my work.  We chatted for a quick bit and then again a little late winter at a workshop.  She mentioned at the workshop that she was expecting and would have to make some plans for her late summer weddings as she would be quite pregnant.  I was so happy (for me of course) when other plans didn’t work out and I got to assist her on the last 3 weddings of the season! **[AMAZING, yes]**  I was SO fortunate to be able to pick her brain as well as watch her work and just hang out and talk shop… We’ve joked that we are photo soul sisters, but I see it more as photography brain/communication/slightly mental soul sisters.  A perfect combination of similarities to have in a wonderful business acquaintance, but more importantly a good friend.

Chelsie – THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for sharing so much of your business and self with me.  Clara is so beautiful and I know she will grow up in a beautiful family with two amazingly loving parents.
